PlanetSolar - Solar Powered Yacht

The largest solar powered boat ever built has been unveiled, and will soon be ready to take on the world.

At 101 feet long, with 50 feet of beam, this boat is indeed massive enough to be called a mega-yacht, making it the world's first eco-mega-power-yacht. The 60 ton mammoth wasn't made to just laze around in the sunshine, either.  Rather, the Planet Solar team plans on taking this catamaran all the way around the globe, using only the power of the sun to do so.

PlanetSolar is set to make a round the world trip along the equatorial route in 2011 reaching out to different cities.It would be a 40,000-km trip that would last for about 140 days.
